Gypsy King - Art you can live in

The Gypsy King is the convergence of a life-long passion for woodworking, an enduring respect for the crafting of wooden boats and a quest for a land-based, portable and personal retreat. A small conceit by design (14' with trailer), the GK is built to hug the road and turn heads along the way! The real surprise comes when you arrive at camp and (in less than 5 minutes) miraculously expand the 'teardrop' into an unexpectedly spacious interior.
It's all wood! Why? First of all, wood is natural. Secondly, like a custom-built wooden boat, the Gypsy King is designed with integrity and attention to detail. You'll want to christen your GK with a name and pass it down from one generation to the next.
The handcrafted cabin is warm and inviting yet it has almost 8' of headroom; punctuated by an enormous elliptical moon roof. When the adventure is over, the Gypsy King folds down and neatly stores in your garage.

Throughout history, artists have been intrigued by natural proportions; how they relate to human scale and how they create a pleasing sense of beauty. The Golden Mean Rectangle, Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man and Le Corbusier's Modular all illustrate this thinking.
The Gypsy King, like many other 'works of art' was inspired by and conceived with full knowledge of these important studies. The studies tell us it's not just proportions but also the nature of the space that envelopes us, space within our reach that defines and influences our experience. True to that idea, the Gypsy King's 'clamshell' design creates interior space that is not simply functional but is also inspiring and enlightening.
Finally, the Gypsy King is custom built to your specifications. Production is limited to 5 units per year. We endeavor to capture the individual spirit of the owner in each Gypsy King; making it an original and (most importantly) livable work of art.
